Saatchi & Saatchi searches for Asia regional chief

HONG KONG - Saatchi & Saatchi CRIB (China, Russia, India and Brazil) and Asia CEO Jim O'Mahony is departing his role, with a search believed to be underway for his successor in Asia.

It is thought that O’Mahony’s Brazil and Russia responsibilities will be absorbed by Americas chairman and CEO Mary Baglivo and EMEA chief Simon Francis, respectively, but that a new leader is being sought for Asia.

O'Mahony took on leadership of this region in 2004, when he became chairman and CEO for Asia-Pacific and Australia, a role that later expanded to include EMEA and Latin America, and prompted him to relocate from Sydney to New York.

Last year, he took on responsibility for CRIB and Asia after Saatchis forged an alliance with Fallon and appointed Simon Francis as EMEA CEO.

O’Mahony is reportedly set to take up a new role at Saatchis “peak performance” outfit Inspiros.
