Rylance will also become chairman of Asia-Pacific, after eight years of heading the agency in this region.
Earlier this year, Rylance quit his position, saying he needed to “seek out new challenges” (Media, 10 April).
“The company has been very supportive and flexible in allowing me to prioritise my family commitments, but has given me a new global role that is in the best interests of the firm worldwide,” Rylance told Media.
Rylance’s new responsibilities will focus on emerging markets, emerging practices and acquisitions.
He also confirmed that the search for his successor as Asia-Pacific CEO continues.
