The UCCA, a visual arts gallery which will seek to showcase the best of Chinese creativity in photography, painting and sculptures, is expected to open in mid-November.
According to Ruder Finn North Asia Jean-Michel Dumont (pictured), the gallery was launching to capitalise on the China-hype in the lead-up to the Beijing Olympics next year. “We’ll be handling the regional publicity outreach for Ullens, which will include the opening ceremonies in early November, media relations, receptions and exhibitions,” said Dumont.
The first exhibition will feature the revolutionary period that transformed Chinese art.
