In his new role, Dumont will be responsible for the agency’s strategy and development across the continent.
According to the company’s co-CEO Kathy Bloomgarden, Dumont’s promotion allows the company to focus on China, the market where Ruder Finn has grown most rapidly.
“We were one of the first agencies to set up operations in mainland China over 18 years ago,” she said in a statement, “and we are committed to expand our presence here.”
According to Ruder Finn, which has offices in Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore, the company’s Asian operations have grown by an average of 25 per cent each year since 2001. Its business in China has grown by an average 45 per cent year on year.
Ruder Finn’s key clients in the region span several sectors and include Bang & Olufsen, BlackBerry, DHL, Harley-Davidson, Michelin, Sun Microsystems, Veuve Clicquot and Visa.
