Roy returns to Mudra to push restructuring

<p>NEW DELHI: Kaushik Roy has rejoined Mudra Communications as </p><p>executive director after two years with Philips India where he was head </p><p>of corporate affairs, and a brief stint with Equus Advertising (a JWT </p><p>network company) as chief executive. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Mudra, among the top five advertising agencies, and the only one to </p><p>remain Indian-owned is currently undergoing a restructuring. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Alan D'Souza, executive director, corporate, said, "The new dynamic </p><p>initiatives at Mudra are aimed at two things. One, strengthening the </p><p>agency from inside. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Two, developing a competitive edge for the future. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"The idea is to ensure that we are able to correctly anticipate the </p><p>future and be strong enough to withstand the emerging challenges." </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>A.G. Krishnamurthy, chairman and managing director, said that the brief </p><p>given to Roy is to "make Mudra, Mumbai the most knowledgeable </p><p>brand-building agency in town". </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Meanwhile, Tara Sinha has been lured out of her four-year sabbatical by </p><p>MAA Bozell. Sinha, whose track record reaches back to the '50s, has </p><p>extensive experience, especially with Coca Cola. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>In the '80s she founded Tara Sinha & Associates which laid the </p><p>foundation for the entry of McCann-Erickson into the country. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
