Rosen departs McDonald's China for IHG

SHANGHAI - McDonald's China VP and chief marketing and corporate affairs officer Gary Rosen has resigned his role, and will relocate to Singapore to become SVP at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).

Rosen, who confirmed the shift, noted that the time was right to move on, after two years at McDonald’s China, and six with the company in total.

“Part of my job was talent management and my job is 90 per cent done,” said Rosen. He is succeeded by senior director of national marketing, Phyllis Chong, who becomes chief marketing officer.

At IHG, Rosen will oversee marketing, sales, communications and research for all of the group’s brands across Asia-Pacific.
