Rolls-Royce seeks regional PR partner

ASIA-PACIFIC - Rolls-Royce Motor Cars (RRMC) is reviewing its seven-market public relations account, with up to eight agencies understood to be involved.

Ogilvy PR, which is the incumbent agency-of-record is taking part, although Hal Serudin, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars corporate communications manager, Asia-Pacific, declined to confirm the identity of other agencies involved. “This is part of our purchasing requirements, and does not necessarily reflect dissatisfaction with the incumbent,” he said.

The brief will cover Hong Kong, China, Singapore, India, Japan, Korea and Australia, and will focus on corporate and product communications, with an emphasis on media relations, product and showroom launch events.

“The Asia-Pacific region is the fastest growth area for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in the world, and at the end of September, sales were up 44 per cent compared to last year,” said Serudin. “We’re in a period of growth, both from an organisational and product perspective.”

A decision is expected to be made by mid-December.
