Roll poised to shift to Microsoft Seattle

ASIA-PACIFIC - Microsoft has confirmed that regional general manager of citizen-ship and communications Oliver Roll will relocate to Seattle later this year to take up a new role at the company, but has declined to comment on his possible replacement.

A spokesperson for Microsoft at its public relations agency, Edelman, also declined to discuss details of Roll’s new position, although it is believed that it will involve oversight of Microsoft’s international PR operations.

Roll arrived at Microsoft Asia-Pacific in 2002, prior to which he was director of marketing and corporate affairs for Microsoft UK. In 2006, he was named Corporate Communicator of the Year at the Asia-Pacific PR Awards.
