Ricoh appoints Saatchi Lab for green drive in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Ricoh has appointed Saatchi LAB as its creative agency in Singapore for an environmental drive for its copiers.

Priscilla Chang, marketing communications manager, Ricoh Singapore, said: “After much review, we have appointed Saatchi Lab to run the advertising campaign for our green programme. Environmental preservation has been a top priority at Ricoh and we aim to develop products and environmental technologies that will help reduce society’s overall impact to the environment. As the global environment is in a critical condition, we strive to raise awareness to the public.”

Adrian Ho, senior account director at Saatchi Lab Singapore, added: "It was a wonderful opportunity to build the Ricoh brand and we went the whole nine yards to convey the brand proposition of eco-friendliness in an engaging and creative manner."

Last year, Ricoh Asia Pacific along with its Singapore subsidiary, launched a “Tee for Trees” golf-and-tree-planting initiative for the 2008 Barclays Singapore Open. In 2007, it partnered the Singapore Environment Council for an “Eco Action 2007” programme.
