Revamp planned for Taiwan broadcasters

The Government is planning to re-tune the island's broadcast market, turning TV channels operated by the Government, political parties and the military into a new public service and setting aside three tiers of radio frequencies for public broadcasting, commercial radio and pirate stations seeking legal status.
