Research groups link up for single source data sell

HONG KONG: Nielsen Media Research (NMR) has formed a partnership with BMRB International to jointly market each other's single-source multimedia and marketing information services.

The deal covers NMR's Media Index, an annual survey of media habits, demographics, consumption patterns and purchase intentions of consumers in 10 key markets in the region, and BMRB's Target Group Index (TGI), which conducts studies of media, product usage, lifestyles and patterns in 40 countries around the world. The partnership covers six NMR markets in Asia, including Hong Kong and Thailand. NMR Southeast Asia executive director, Phil Rich, said: "This is part of a series of enhancements of the Media Index to ensure the product is the priority area where people go to first to collect information."
