Razorfish wins P&G digital duties in Hong Kong

HONG KONG - Procter & Gamble has awarded Razorfish the year-long digital management of its Clairol Herbal Essences brand and has charged the agency with launching a digital campaign for Pampers, both for the Hong Kong market.

According to sources, P&G called a digital pitch in March for its Clairol Herbal Essences, Pampers and Whisper brands in Hong Kong. Razorfish, wwwins Consulting, Tribal DDB and Digitas competed for the businesses, sources said.

Pampers has in the past worked with Digitas, an agency source said.

wwwins Consulting, a digital marketing agency under Isobar, was recently awarded P&G’s Whisper account.

In March, a source close to the review noted that P&G’s pitch was important to Hong Kong agencies because the global recession meant fewer pitching opportunities in the market.

“Everyone’s going for this one because it’s a big account – the one business in a desert,” the source said.

A Razorfish source said the agency began work on Clairol last month, while the campaign for Pampers is in development.
