Razorfish appoints Sherman regional president

ASIA-PACIFIC - Digital marketing company Razorfish has appointed Lee Sherman (pictured) to the newly created post of regional president, relocating to Sydney from the United States where he was the company's senior vice president of global solutions.

In his new position, Sherman is charged with overseeing Razorfish’s operations throughout the region: e-Crusade in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing and Amnesia in Sydney, as well as collaborate with Dentsu on its joint venture in Tokyo, Dentsu Razorfish.

Sherman is further responsible for managing regional acquisitions,
developing strategies to win pan-Asian accounts and bolstering local offices’ digital creative and media offerings.

According to Razorfish CEO Clark Kokich, the appointment is in line with the company’s goal of global expansion and strengthening its presence in Asia-Pacific, saying “his new role as president of Asia-Pacific reflects our belief in the tremendous growth potential of digital marketing throughout the region.”

Sherman, who was senior vice president of Razorfish Global Solutions Group from 2004 through 2008, further said he aims to strengthen Razorfish’s regional brand through a focus on social media.

Prior to his work at Razorfish, Sherman was a managing consultant with Gemini Consulting, where he worked with Fortune 100 firms.

In Asia-Pacific, Sherman will work with Razorfish’s key clients including Carnival Cruise Lines, Nestlé and Nike.
