Rado in sponsor deal with China Open organiser

Swiss watch brand Rado has signed up as the official sponsor for the Tom Group's China Open tennis tournament in September.

The brand, which has sponsored tennis events for more than 20 years, also lends its name to two of the four Grand Slam tournaments, the French Open and the Australian Open. The event's organisers will set up a Rado Smash Corner, where tennis fans can check the speed of their own serves. The China Open -- billed as a 'Tennis Carnival' -- will also feature a 'Games Zone', an 'Entertainment Village', shopping areas and 'Autograph Island'. It will be held from September 10 to 26 and will feature the world's best ATP players, including 14-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams. The China Open aims to become one of the world's top five tennis tournaments.
