Quay to lead M&C branding division

KUALA LUMPUR - Michael Quay, head of planning at M&C Saatchi Malaysia, has been appointed to run the agency's newly launched corporate branding division, The Distillery.

Quay was formerly JWT’s regional strategic planner.

The office adds to operations in Singapore, Hong Kong and Sydney, with openings planned in Thailand, China and India for next year.

Quay will lead a four-strong planning team as the unit’s managing partner, with La Farge and Sheraton Hotels as founding clients.

Lara Hussein, MD of M&C Malaysia, said: “The Distillery helps clients to distil raw information and transform it into substance of higher value that is easily understood, credible and that can be recalled across boundaries.”
