Regal Airport
Where? The Regal Airport hotel is a five-minute walk from the airport arrivals hall. AsiaWorld-Expo is one stop by train and Central is 22 minutes.
What’s it like? With 1,104 rooms, the hotel is the largest in Hong Kong. The facilities are
five-star. The Regal Airport recently invested US$1.7 million to upgrade its conference
facilities. It now has 31 function rooms and a 1,000 sqm pillarless ballroom, Hong Kong’s
largest. The rates are also cheaper than many of the hotels in Central or Kowloon.
Recent clients? Adidas recently held a product display event for over 250 delegates
here. Microsoft stayed here during ITU 2006 and Philips recently brought a group of 200.

Langham Place
Where? Langham Place Hotel made quite a stir in 2004 when it opened in the middle
of Kowloon’s Mongkok district. It’s a 40-minute taxi-ride from the airport. You can reach Central by the MTR train or Star Ferry.
What’s it like? From the outside, the 665-room Langham Place looks like an office complex because of its glass-and-steel ribbing. But inside it is an opulent, European-style hotel. The hotel has 1,790 sqm of meeting space spread across three floors. The ballroom features a sevenmetre- high ceiling, floor-to-ceiling windows and can fit up to 300 people. The roof-top
pool and Australian-inspired Backyard Restaurant hosts weekend alfresco barbecues
in the evenings.

Grand Hyatt
Where? With commanding views over Victoria Harbour, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong is a city-centre hotel on the waterfront, only minutes from Central and Admiralty. It’s also next to HKCEC.
What’s it like? The Hyatt chain touts its 549-room Wan Chai representative as its flagship establishment. Fully revamped several years ago, it’s a mix of European-style elegance, snappy service and cutting-edge comfort, featuring cosy meetings venues.
The art deco-style Residence includes the Drawing Room (for 100 people), Lounge
(120) and Library (30). The Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 1,200 people and the
Pool House at Plateau on the 11th floor has a tree-fringed courtyard and glass-fronted
function room.
Recent clients? Prudential held a two-day conference in the grand ballroom with breakout sessions for 200 delegates. Assurex Global also held its 12-day International Conference for 200.

Four Seasons
Where? The property is set in the towering International Finance Centre among Central’s high-rise office buildings. Three quarters of its rooms offer clear views of Victoria Harbour and Kowloon.
What’s it like? This 399-room property is geared towards business executives who can take advantage of the private boardrooms and round-the-clock secretarial services. The 740
sqm grand ballroom on the second floor and the 440 sqm Harbour View Ballroom on the
fourth floor both face Victoria Harbour and have floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel has
another seven dedicated meeting rooms, plus the Peak Suite on the 45th floor and private
dining rooms in its restaurants.

Kowloon Shangri-La
Where is it? Situated on the waterfront in Kowloon, this hotel has views of Victoria Harbour and the island’s skyline. It’s close to major transport routes and to the MTR trains to the New Territories and Star Ferry.
What’s it like? Although the city has seen many new hotels, the Kowloon Shangri-La is still one of Hong Kong’s best. The grand ballroom can cater for more than 700 people.
For corporate meetings, seminars or conventions, the hotel can accommodate up to 600 people.
Recent clients? Ericsson booked more than 200 rooms last December for ITU Telecom
World 2006 and Amway Japan stayed here with 300 delegates for their leadership seminar. Metal Bulletin is a regular client and occupies 150 rooms in March each year.
