Publicis Shanghai lands US$5m air conditioner brief

SHANGHAI - Ningbo Aux Group has handed its national creative brief for its US$5 million Aux air conditioner brand to Publicis Shanghai, following a competitive pitch believed to include Saatchi & Saatchi, Dentsu and four other local agencies.

Publicis has been tasked with developing a new brand campaign for 2008, which will focus on repositioning the mass brand as a premium product.

The agency will also handle the creative strategy for new product launches, as well as media planning. Buying will continue to be handled in-house in conjunction with local shops.
