Publicis rises as year's 'surprise' with win record

A particularly active month with J. Walter Thompson making the most progress on R3's best estimate of the Asia-Pacific portion of the global Samsung win. Publicis still remains on top, with McCann Erickson and Leo Burnett, with its first McDonald's Australia project, in pursuit.

MEDIA

MindShare increased its margin, with OMD moving into second place - its Kao China win played against Zenith's China loss of Danone. Carat also made up ground on wins across the board.

ANALYSIS

Publicis may be the 'surprise' agency of the year. It is the sheer volume of wins (over 150 across 15 markets) that has consistently maintained its position at the top. More importantly, it won locally, with less than 30 per cent of all wins coming globally/regionally.
