Publicis promotes Szabo to ECD

HONG KONG - Publicis Hong Kong has promoted David Szabo (pictured) to the post of executive creative director.

Szabo, an Australian who speaks colloquial Cantonese, joined Publicis Hong Kong in early 2007 and has been responsible for several high profile campaigns, including MGM Grand Macau, UBS, Tempo Tissue, China Light and Power Group.

"Publicis Hong Kong had a great year last year, and it's now time to consolidate that with strong creative leadership, and Szabo believes strongly in the power of ideas and meticulous execution.  I know that he will be a great partner moving forward," noted Laurie Kwong, CEO, Publicis Hong Kong.
 
"Publicis has recently launched a new approach to creative solutions, I am ready to take on a greater challenge to be ECD role, my new role will be key to delivering these unique creative solutions for Publicis Hong Kong clients," commented David.

Prior to joining Publicis, Szabo was most recently with M&C Saatchi in Hong Kong, and has also worked at TBWA and Bates in Hong Kong, as well as stints in Singapore and Germany.
