Publicis Modem comes to Asia with Singapore set up as digital HQ

ASIA-PACIFIC - Publicis Modem has launched in Asia, led by a Singapore hub and a Hong Kong office, ahead of offices in Taiwan, China, India and Korea next year.

Headed by regional MD Arlene Ang, the Singapore HQ will also house new ECD Joe Lin, from Publicis Modem in San Franciso.

Former Publicis Dialog Thailand chief Will Anstee becomes GM of Publicis Modem Singapore, while Major Lin shifts from Publicis Dialog Shanghai to take on the regional integrated marketing communications director role.

The fledgling network was formed by merging Modem Media with Publicis Dialog after Publicis Groupe bought global network Digitas. “What clients want is an agency that understands the digital platform and the comms structure to get people to that platform,” said Publicis regional CEO Matt Godfrey, who, along with chief creative officer Calvin Soh, will retain overall control of the network.

Next year, Taipei, China, Korea and India are slated for launch.
