Publicis launches Fuzhou after Mitsubishi win

FUZHOU - Publicis China will launch a new operation in Fuzhou after securing creative duties for Southeast Motors' Mitsubishi V3 model, following a pitch against Ogilvy Fuzhou and a local agency.

Media duties will be handled by Starcom.

Publicis China CEO Sheena Jeng (pictured) said that the operation will consist of six to 10 people working on the Southeast Motors account, before gradually pitching for local business. The Mitsubishi V3 is positioned as an urban car for people in the provinces who buy their first or second car. Key competitors are Chery and Nissan. Adspend is forecast at Rmb 80 million (US$11 million) for the first year.
