Public Relations: Comment - Agencies must go all out to blow their own trumpets to clients

Public relations consultancies across Asia are currently responsible for some highly creative and effective work for their many and diverse clients across the region. Before you flip the page to the next article, I will acknowledge that this is hardly a surprising statement from an industry insider who has a vested interest in talking up his profession. However, it's not just that the winning entries in the PR Week Awards have become more impressive. Rather, I would like to think that if we were to survey the major users of public relations services, they would be largely satisfied with the efforts of their chosen consultancy. This may not have been the case five years ago - and there are still exceptions today - but standards are definitely rising in most of the major markets.
