PTT fails to convince Thai drivers to switch

Years ago, PTT led a campaign encouraging Thai consumers to use unleaded gas through an award-winning series of ads titled 'Lead Man'. As a direct result of PTT's efforts, people stopped hesitating and started using unleaded gas.

Today, PTT is promoting the use of an alternative energy source — NGV gas. In the spot, a man goes to the gas station owner with numerous bumps on his head. The owner deducts that the man has been thinking too much about the switch to NGV gas, and advises him to stop being afraid and just switch to NGV gas.

While I believe in the benefits that NGV gas will bring to Thai consumers, personally, I feel that it is a shame that PTT's campaign turned out to be rather ordinary. More importantly, it has not convinced me of the safety of using NGV.
