Promotion moves Microsoft's Roll to Seattle

SINGAPORE - Microsoft Asia-Pacific GM of citizenship and communications, Oliver Roll, is to relocate to the company's Seattle headquarters later this year, to take on a new international role.

A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed Roll’s departure, but noted that his replacement in Singapore has yet to be confirmed. Details of Roll’s new position were undisclosed, but it is expected to involve oversight of Microsoft’s international PR.

Roll arrived at Microsoft Asia-Pacific in 2002, prior to which he was director of marketing and corporate affairs for Microsoft UK.
