Primedia gears for Seventeen's launch in China
<p>BEIJING: China Interactive Media Group has teamed up with US </p><p>publishing giant Primedia Inc to publish a Chinese-language teen </p><p>title. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Seventeen will roll out on November 25, mainly in Beijing, Shanghai and </p><p>Guangzhou, marking the title's launch in its second Asian market after </p><p>the Philippines last year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Primedia has also teamed up with Indonesia's Femina Group to launch a </p><p>local language edition in the market this year. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>China Interactive's editor-in-chief Zhao Yi-liang said a first year </p><p>circulation of 200,000 copies is planned, with the second year target </p><p>rising to 350,000 copies. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Zhao said Seventeen would be positioned as a "good friend" to its teen </p><p>readers with tips and features on relationships along with the usual </p><p>coverage on fashion, beauty, entertainment, and lifestyle. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
