Kevin Huang, Pixel Media CEO, said HKGolden. com -- set up in 1999 -- provided information about computing, technology and high-tech gadgets to consumers in Hong Kong, targeting tech-savvy consumers with relatively high consumption power.
The site, which generates over 25 million monthly page views with users spending an average 16 minutes per session, will target advertisers from the IT/tech sector, mobile/telcos, sports brands, as well as banking and finance companies.
Huang added: "The main challenge will be to educate clients about the value of HKGolden's over 400,000 monthly unique users, the demographics, spending power and how advertisers can effectively reach these users on the platform." Pixel, which also represents local web publishers Atnext.com, MSN Hong Kong, scmp.com and BusinessWeek Online, was awarded the business based on its "knowledge of the local market", said Huang.
