Pixel makes China online acquisition

SHANGHAI - Online advertising sales network Pixel Interactive Media has expanded its footprint in China, following the acquisition of online affiliate marketing business Easy Growth.

The deal, which was finalised through a maximum consideration payable of US$10 million, will see Pixel take 100 per cent ownership of the Easy Growth business, which currently acts as an exclusive service and technology provider to Share Freedom Wireless.

“It gives Pixel a foothold into the growing China online advertising marketplace, with a strong customer base of advertisers and website partners, as well as access to it’s proprietary technology,” said Kevin Huang, CEO, Pixel Interactive Media.

“Pixel will now have a more complete offering of brand display advertising and affiliate pay-for-performance
advertising solutions,” he added.

Huang noted that Easy Growth’s current management team would remain in place, with Wang Ning continuing to helm the operation as president and CEO, along with VP Macy Sun.

Pixel’s acquisition follows the agency’s entry into the Singapore market last year.
