Pirie to relinquish Weber Shandwick regional chief role

SINGAPORE - Weber Shandwick and GolinHarris regional chief Andrew Pirie will step down from his role at year's end, with Interpublic Group senior executive Tim Sutton relocating to Hong Kong to oversee the holding company's CMG division.

Pirie, who has spent nine years at Weber Shandwick, has confirmed he will return to his native New Zealand, where he is expected to continue with the agency in a yet-to-be-determined position.

Sutton, currently European chairman of IPG’s CMG group, will take on an equivalent role for Asia-Pacific, which will involve oversight of its PR, public affairs, entertainment/sports marketing and corporate/brand identity agencies, which also include Jack Morton, Octagon, FutureBrand and Powell Tate, in addition to Weber Shandwick and GolinHarris.
