Ping An sharpens loyalty strategy

SHANGHAI - Ping An Insurance Group has appointed McCann Worldgroup's McCann Erickson Advertising and MRM Partners to handle a new loyalty initiative in China.

It is believed that the agency’s existing relationship with Ping An helped it prevail in a two-way pitch against one other undisclosed agency.

The assignment will be handled out of McCann Worldgroup’s Shanghai office and covers strategic planning, new brand identity, ATL, BTL and interactive work. While details of the programme were not disclosed, it is believed it will cover a major new loyalty programme in conjunction with several other brands.

Ping An Insurance is an integrated financial services conglomerate that blends its core insurance operations into securities brokerage, commercial banking, asset management and enterprise annuities.
