PHD appointed media AOR for Ferrero in Australia

SYDNEY - Ferrero, the confectionary producer of brands including Tic Tac, Kinder chocolates, Nutella and Ferrero Pralines, has appointed PHD as its media agency-of-record in Australia.

The account, which covers all of Ferrero’s products in Australia and New Zealand, was awarded to PHD following a competitive pitch.

Spark PHD, the media agency’s New Zealand arm, will also represent the brand in New Zealand.

According to local reports, the business is worth more than AU$11 million (US$9 million) and PHD’s win follows Maxus’ resignation of the account last month after a four-year relationship.

“We appreciated the relationship we had with Maxus and wish the firm the best for the future,” Ferrero Australia’s marketing director Yannick Durand said in a release.
