P&G wins Cannes 2008 Advertiser of the Year

LONDON - P&G has been named Advertiser of the Year 2008 by the Cannes Lions, in recognition of the FMCG giant's innovative marketing and effectiveness efforts.

Backed by a marketing budget of approximately US$8 billion a year, P&G last year won 14 Lions at Cannes, including the Press Lions Grand Prix

"Five years ago, Procter & Gamble made a public commitment to embrace creativity to drive their marketing. There can be no greater commitment to the cause of creativity than that displayed by P&G and we are delighted to be awarding them this prestigious honour," said Terry Savage, Festival chairman.
