P&G confirms Gillette shift to BBDO

Procter & Gamble has confirmed its appointment of BBDO to handle key Gillette brands across Asia-Pacific, as reported by Media on July 7. <BR><BR> According to a press statement, BBDO Singapore will manage the regional business for Asia and India, excluding China. The Greater China brief will be handled by BBDO China, working on the Vector and Mach 3 brands, as well as new products. <BR><BR> BBDO Japan is tasked with the Japan account. <BR><BR> In Asean and India, the Gillette business was previously handled primarily by Ogilvy & Mather. <BR><BR> The shift in business follows P&G's acquisition of Gillette in 2005, with BBDO benefiting from global consolidation of an advertising roster that also included Ogilvy and McCann Erickson.
