Pfizer Singapore and HPB launch 'quit smoking' drive

SINGAPORE - Pfizer Singapore has launched an outdoor campaign to complement the Health Promotion Board's (HPB) National Smoking Control Programme.

Seven months ago, Pfizer launched smoking cessation treatment Champix in Singapore and is looking to promote it through the campaign, which will run until May 2009.

As part of the campaign, there will be 18 ‘quit smoking’ buses travelling throughout Singapore communicating ways in which smokers can overcome their nicotine addiction. The buses display HPB’s ‘Quitline’ to highlight the number smokers can call for help.

In addition to the outdoor campaign, the key messages will also be highlighted in print advertisements published in the major local newspapers and lifestyle magazines.

The creative agency is Pin Press while the media agency is Universal McCann.
