Pfizer conducts global marketing review

GLOBAL - Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer is believed to have begun a comprehensive review of its global marketing activities, in a bid to consolidate the massive business with one holding company.

It is thought that the Asia-Pacific component of the review, which includes PR, digital, CRM, event media, consumer advertising and healthcare, is being led out of Australia. The review is being managed by Pfizer’s in-house procurement unit.

According to sources RFPs, looking for integrated solutions, have been sent to key global holding companies. At present, Pfizer works with a range of agencies from all of the major holding companies, globally. “Pfizer is very interested in consolidating the business into a preferred holding company structure,” said a source involved in the review.

“This may be one network or more.”
