Petronas pitch delayed as Ogilvy & Mather added to shortlist

KUALA LUMPUR - Ogilvy & Mather is believed to have joined the creative pitch for Petronas' lubricant business in Malaysia, delaying the selection process, which was due to be concluded last week.

Petronas recently shortlisted Dentsu, M&C Saatchi and Creative Juice after inviting 10 agencies to pitch for the business.

The oil company did not shortlist its incumbent agency Leo Burnett for the creative account.

The company recently launched a heavy-duty lubricant for diesel engines called Petronas Urania. In Asia the focus for marketing this product will be China, India and Southeast Asia.
