Pete Mitchell departs Universal McCann

BANGKOK - Pete Mitchell (pictured), the interactive strategy director for Universal McCann Asia-Pacific, has resigned from the agency.

Commenting on Mitchell's departure, Henry Tajer, regional president of UM Asia-Pacific said: “During his time with Universal McCann, Pete has been a great contributor, team player and leader. We thank him for all he has done and we wish him luck for his future endeavors.”

Mitchell was promoted to the role of interactive strategy director in March this year at the same time as when Henry Tajer was promoted as the regional president for the Mediabrands agency.

Mitchell has 20 years of experience in traditional media planning and digital. He has been with the network since 2007. Prior to taking on the Universal McCann role he was the regional interactive strategy director of Initiative in Asia-Pacific.

Before he came to Asia, Mitchell was the head of digital at MEC UK. He lives in Bangkok but has spent the past six months in LA and New York.

Yesterday UM announced the appointment of Clinton Simposon as the new CEO of Singapore office replacing Kenneth Tsang.
