Perry Publications has claimed back the Asia-Pacific edition of

Business Traveller, which was licensed out to Interasia Publications,

and is to re-launch the magazine in March this year.

The company has also set up a new business unit - Perry Publications

Asia.

Details of the new business were not provided, however

recently-appointed publisher Peggy Teo confirmed there would be

restructuring in the sales and editorial departments of Business

Traveller.

Ms Teo will be responsible for setting up and managing the new business

unit, the re-launch of Business Traveller Asia-Pacific, as well as

providing support for other editions of the title and overseeing the

general business in Asia-Pacific.

Ms Teo joins the company from Miller Freeman Asia, where she was

responsible for the travel group's five Asia publications and 18

international publications in the North East Asia, Europe and Middle

East markets as regional advertising manager since 1996.

She also spent two years at the Oriental Press Group as advertising

manager.

Perry Publications also holds the UK, US, Germany and Middle East

versions of the magazine.

Mr Jonathan Wall is to remain associate publisher and editor of the

magazine.

He joined Interasia Publications as deputy editor of Business Traveller

Asia-Pacific in1989 and was appointed editor of the title in 1996.

He was promoted to associate publisher and editor of Business Traveller

last year.

Ms Teo told MEDIA about her recent appointment, "When Nick Perry, the

managing director of Perry Publications, confirmed that he was to

reclaim the Asia-Pacific title, I immediately took up the challenge.

"Besides establishing a new business outfit, the first in Asia for

Business Travellers' group of publications, I also had the opportunity

to oversee the final stage of the buyout completion.

"Business Traveller Asia-Pacific has for the past 19 years, received

recognition of its editorial quality and with the re-launch, it will be

the definitive travel consumer title, bringing in line the prestige from

the other international editions."
