PermataBank shortlist narrows to four

JAKARTA - PermataBank, a top-10 Indonesian financial services group, has short-listed four agencies - Y&R, Coleman Handoko, Pantarai and incumbent DDB Brainstorm - for a second round of pitching for its creative account.

An initial briefing session was attended by eight agencies, including TBWA subsidiary Flying Giraffe, and Crush Advertising. DDB Brainstorm has handled the business for the past year.

The company pitches its advertising account every year.

PermataBank was formally established in 2002 when the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency merged five banks into one. It has a network of 259 branches and 552 ATMs in 46 cities across the Indonesian archipelago.

Standard Chartered acquired 51 percent stake in PermataBank in 2004.
