Eye2 is the second development of PCCW’s portable multimedia device, combining television, internet and phone services in one. The integrated campaign paired up with TVB's MyTV online video platform to promote the functionality of the product.
A series of ‘webisodes’ feature local TV artists and their friends using the device to get updates on news, sports, other entertainment and bill paying services.
Compared with the initial launch of the product, eye2 is now minimised into flat screen hardware similar to a digital photo frame, wireless and in a touch-screen format. The service offers increased content through comprehensive access to the library of nowTV and music channel Moov. Cooking and children’s educational channels are added to appeal all members of a family. A spokesperson in PCCW mentioned, “although this is a difficult [economic] period, the product itself is still attractive and could be the next revolution for TV, internet and fixed-line phone.”
