From this year, PAX will be conducted quarterly, with the first one due out by December. It is also being expanded to cover Sydney, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, which is in addition to Bangkok, Hong Kong, Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Seoul, Singapore and Taipei.
The move follows Nielsen Media Research's decision to postpone its ATMS because of a poor economic climate.
Miranda Cheung, AMI executive director, said: "This move is in response to market requests for more frequent and indepth research data."
PAX's subscribers now includes Reader's Digest, CNN, BBC World and Hakuhodo.
