Speaking after the PATA board of directors meeting in Vancouver, PATA president
and CEO Peter de Jong announced the group had formed a partnership with two
organisations specialising in the hospitality, investment and aviation sectors to support
the summit, which is scheduled for April 2008.
“I’m delighted to say that the Burba Hotel Network (BHN) and the Centre for Asia
Pacific Aviation (CAPA) have agreed to partner with PATA on the Summit,” de Jong said. De Jong added that the organisation had selected Bangkok as the chosen venue
for the inaugural summit out of a list of five possibilities from across the Asia Pacific region.
