Paris firms as Olympic favourite
New figures released by Universal McCann ahead of tomorrow's IOC decision on the 2012 Olympics, show 34 per cent of Asians believe Paris should win the right to host the Games. UM's on-line poll surveyed more than 1,100 consumers in China, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan, and also revealed 31 per cent are eager to attend the 2008 Beijing Olympics. On sponsorship, 35 per cent believe it adds to the spectacle, while 25 per cent believe it diverts attention away from the spirit of the Olympics.
