Parames resigns from DY&R to set up consultancy
<p>BANGKOK: Veteran ad man and current president of the Advertising </p><p>Association of Thailand Parames Rachjaibun has left his post as </p><p>president of Dentsu Young & Rubicam to start his own consulting </p><p>company. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Parames spent more than two decades working in the Thai ad industry, </p><p>including two years each at Lintas, Leo Burnett and Bates, followed by </p><p>15 years for DY&R. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Although Parames will continue as president of the association for at </p><p>least another year, he said that after 22 years in the industry he </p><p>wanted to strike out in a new direction. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>"Maybe it was about 20 years too long," he said. "The ad industry has </p><p>the same problems year after year. I need to expand my field of </p><p>vision." </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Looking back, Parames said the industry had changed significantly from </p><p>its early days in advertising. "The market has matured a great deal over </p><p>the years," he said. "Ad agencies are now much more focused on working </p><p>as better partners, working more responsibly with their clients." </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>Parames' new business, the Turnaround Consulting and Operation Group of </p><p>Companies, will provide a broad range of business consulting and </p><p>operational services to small and medium-sized companies which want to </p><p>restructure or improve their business performance. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
