Pappas rises up Time ladder in marketing role

HONG KONG: Time Asia marketing director, Anne Pappas, has been promoted to vice-president, international marketing director, based in London.

The appointment is part of a move by the magazine to establish a worldwide team that would ensure strategic issues, such as sales and marketing, are handled from a global viewpoint.

Pappas, who takes up her new position this month, said: "We're trying to harmonise our advertising activities globally to be consistent.

"Also we have to cater to the increasing number of advertisers who are buying global advertising packages. For example, if an advertiser can get an event association in Europe, he should also be offered something similar in Asia.

From London, Pappas will continue to oversee brand communications and advertising campaigns in Asia-Pacific.
