NEW DELHI: The Ogilvy & Mather Group has bolstered its management

line-up in India in response to growing client demands for marketing

services beyond traditional advertising.

It promoted Piyush Pandey, its national creative director and head of

its Mumbai office, to group president. Pandey will be responsible for

the agency, OgilvyOne, OgilvyPR, OgilvyLive, OgilvyInteractive, and

Ogilvy Outreach operations in the country.

The group has also promoted chief financial officer, S. N Rane, to chief

operating officer of O&M India. A creative governor will be appointed to

take over Pandey's position as national creative director.

In addition, Nishi Suri moves up to take over as head of the Mumbai

office. Suri will be responsible for building O&M's creative strengths,

nurturing talent, as well as maintaining and and growing business

partnerships.

The promotions come at a time when the group looks to expand the range

of services it can offer clients.

Over the past six years, Pandey and his creative team won numerous

awards, helping transform O&M's image from a respectable but stuffy

agency to a more dynamic one, according to agency sources.

Under Pandey's leadership, sources believe O&M will grow to a position

where it can challenge JWT and Lintas for top billing agency status.
