The Omnicom agency saw off BatesAsia, McCann Erickson and Saatchi & Saatchi to win the business, which will cover six Southeast Asia markets with a TV and print push. Regional agency-of-record Dentsu did not contest the pitch.
The campaign will attempt to position the Lumix FX33 as a fashion brand targeted at women, and will be followed by an assignment for Panasonic's Viera televisions.
Jean-Paul Burge, managing director of BBDO Singapore, said: "This is a really nice win for us. It was a very tight, creatively-run pitch, which was particularly satisfying because it's the first pitch that Danny and I have
worked on together."
Burge is two months into his role of agency MD, while Danny Searle is two weeks into the job as chairman and chief creative office. He joined from Clemenger BBDO where he was creative director (Media, 16 March).
