Pan launches youth marketing content company

SHANGHAI - Former Pepsi China marketing director Chris Pan, who left the company in January, is launching a youth marketing content company.

The company, to be named Chris Pan LLC, will offer marketing, entertainment, media, PR and HR services for youth brands in China. "I will take equity in a number of operating companies in four different categories: insight, branded content, ‘smart media’ and talent development," said Pan.

He is in talks to form joint equity partnerships with production, peer-to-peer video, consumer PR and blog tracking firms.

"My goals are to accelerate growth of businesses that have long term value to society and create a commercial outlet for Chinese youth creativity," he added.

Pan left Pepsi after 18 months in the role.

Before Pepsi, he worked at McKinsey in the US as a business analyst.
