Pacific World in new marketing strategy role

SINGAPOREPacific World has appointed Chern Wen Siew as it first marketing strategy manager.

Chern will provide marketing solutions for conference planning, events, logistics management and operations. Her role involves analysing and accessing the market positioning of the DMC to develop and implement a marketing and sales plan for each division. Chern will also support the PCO division and MCI, and develop PR and communication strategies for domestic and international associations. Managing director Bob Guy said: "Having a marketing strategies manager is a first for Pacific World. "The dynamic of the market is very different today as compared to 10 years ago. "It is important to understand the market dynamic and to know ourselves and our customers well in order to gain competitive advantage. "Furthermore, we are frequently approached to provide marketing services as part of our overall services offering." Chern was previously a meeting planner with Pacific World.
