Overdrive launches in Asia-Pacific

SYDNEY - MTV Networks International has launched MTV Overdrive in Australia, a video-on-demand broadband service, with plans to roll out the offer to other Asia-Pacific markets in the future.

Overdrive will offer MTV news updates, artist interviews, music videos, live performances and original short-form programming.

The new service is advertiser supported, and it will also be streamed to 3G mobile phone services. According to a MTV spokesperson, there has been no time frame set for the A-P rollout.
