Bettina von Schlippe's career is defined by one constant: navigating and shaping systemic change.
In 1989, as the Berlin Wall fell, she was in the former GDR teaching political science to citizens unpacking the birth of a new country as human behaviour was being reshaped by new forces. That instinct for how systems communicate carried her from academia to the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, then to Moscow at the precise moment post-Soviet capitalism was finding its footing. At Condé Nast Russia, she launched Vogue, GQ, and Architectural Digest, while simultaneously scaling RSVP agency into one of Russia's leading integrated luxury communications agencies — 100-plus employees delivering full-cycle campaigns for LVMH, Moët Hennessy, UNIQLO, and Levi's.
It was there in Moscow that she led Russia's first large-scale luxury exhibition, the Millionaire Fair: 200 global brands, 30,000 visitors, and over $600 million in luxury transactions within its first year.
In Southeast Asia, von Schlippe took full ownership of the vision behind Vogue Singapore, conceived as an innovation-led brand launched digitally during a pandemic. Firsts include digital-only NFT covers, a proprietary metaverse environment, AI-generated editorial, and landmark NFT collaborations with Binance and OpenSea. The wider ecosystem — Club Vogue, the Vogue Singapore Foundation, and Next in Vogue, a two-day annual innovation and fashion conference — was built on the same conviction that luxury media must lead with technology and purpose.
To Quote: "It's almost impossible to convey to anyone who has not met Bettina what a true force of nature she is. Bettina sets an exceptional standard in leadership and vision [and] consistently placed innovation at the center of her work, helping position Singapore as a center for creative excellence."
